Lisa Beth in Sherman Oaks, CA had these brushes...

When I did my student teaching in Studio City, I had to park down the
street because the school had limited parking. I ran into LA weatherman Fritz Coleman
walking his beautiful Irish Setter. He was friendly and smiled and greeted me with a "Good Morning".
I saw him on 3 different occassions on the same block.

When my brother was in Little League in the 60's, my mom used to
drag me to all of my brother's games. At the end of one season, his all-star team won!
In celebration, Robert Conrad, star of the "Wild Wild West" came
to the game and signed autographs. It was a thrill for me cause I loved James West!

I spotted Harry Hamlin and his son in the Beverly Glen Shopping Center.
He had that unshaved look going on, looked hot! Also saw one of my all-time favorites
at the same shopping center, Mr. Warren Beatty along with his wife Annette Bening
and their new baby. "Heaven Can Wait" is one of my favorites. Gotta love Warren!

Saw Angelina Jollie after she did that film with Winona Ryder,
Girl Interupted at a Baja Fresh in Studio City. Pretty lady.

A few years back when I was looking for a home management job,
I interviewed with Maria Shriver at her and Arnold's compound in the Palisades.
I was surprised that she just had her workout outfit on.
They were looking for a private cook at the time. Didn't get the job but saw part
of Arnold's own compound. His pictures from his muscle days were all around.
I saw his leather jacket hanging in the kitchen.
I was advised not to touch any of his things!
Arnold knows if you've moved anything!

In the 70's, I went to see a Diana Ross concert at the Universal Amphitheater with 2 girlfriends.
What a fabulous show! This was when the amphitheater was outdoors.
Afterwards we were hungry and stopped to get something to eat near the amphitheater.
Low and behold but who walks in, Diana Ross and Barry Gordy!
We weren't even paying attention when they entered the restaurant.
We were talking about how great the show was and how beautiful Diana Ross looked.
Turned around and there she was! She had the thinnest arms.
We told her how much we loved the show! What a thrill for all of us!

I drove my car through the Beverly Glen shopping center one day, no parking to be found.
Saw Tom Arnold. I slowed down and smiled at him. He leaned down and smiled back at me.
Not his biggest fan but he looked really good that day!
It was just after he had lost a lot of weight. He was looking fine!

Charlton Heston signed autographs before the showing of the "Ten Commandments"
at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. He shook my hand, I smiled.
Then watched him half naked on the big screen playing Moses. What a handsome man he was!

Pat Sajak was with his son in Aahhs one evening in Sherman Oaks.
He was looking for a Halloween costume for his boy. Pat looked tired that night.
I looked at him and thought for a moment, then realized, yeah, that was him.

Saw that guy who played Elaine's boss on Seinfeld one day in the Ralphs
parking lot in Sherman Oaks. He plays Mr. Peterman, I think.
He was driving a gold Eddie Bauer edition S.U.V.
He looked amazing! I wanted in!

My roomate and I were shopping at Staples in Studio City one day
and as we were leaving we ran into Will Smith. Oh My God! He looked like a Greek God!
He had this big silver belt buckle I kept staring at, or was it something else?

I went out dancing ages ago in Hollywood with a bunch of friends.
Saw Rodney Dangerfield surrounded by a group of flirtatious women!
He looked like he was having a good time!

My roomates mom took us out to dinner one night at an expensive
restaurant in Sherman Oaks. We saw Doris Roberts having dinner with a male companion.
My roomate love's Everybody Loves Raymond and watches it almost daily!
Her mom visiting from New York was starstruck. She looked lovely.

After a fiasco with a guy named Travis,
I dreamt that Robert Redford thanked me and kissed my hand!

In 1993 I moved to Alaska. I heard Homer was an arty little town by the sea.
So I went there to spend a winter. I found this great place to live called "Seaside Farm".
It overlooked Katchemak Bay, beautiful sight. Anyway, one day this relative
of the family I was staying with came over. She was singing and playing guitar with one of the sons.
Loving female, folksy vocalist, I couldn't help but be drawn to her voice.
It was Jewel just before her first album came out.
Wow! She was great! Right then and there I thought, "She's gonna be famous!"

One sunny afternoon on the island of Maui, I was working as a hostess at
the Lahaina Provision Company. It was in between lunch and dinner times
and I was standing at the hostess station doing my hostess preparation
business when a man came up to me and asked me if we were still
taking reservations for the evening. I looked up from my post and there
in front of me was the ever so handsome Hart to Hart star, Robert Wagner.
He smiled nicely, my face turned a bright shade of red.
I said, "Of course Mr. Wagner."
I could barely breathe let alone say anything intelligent!
I never believed in being star struck but I was at that moment!
They had been filming Hart to Hart on the beach down below the restaurant
but I never expected to come face to face with the star of the show.

Another sunny day in paradise, I was walking along the beach
in Kaanapali right near Black Rock. This was an exceptional time for me
because I had just lost all my extra weight and had bought a new bikini
for the first time in ages. I was proud of my new body and thought I'd try it out.
As I paraded my new found figure, there on the beach walking with
his entourage was one of the stars of Hill Street Blues, Charles Haid, also known
as "Officer Andy Renko." Remember him, the rude, cocky and obnoxious one!
He stared at me up and down and said something like, "Hey Baby!"
He was kind of drooling and disgusting and I just kept walking.

Once I saw Fleetwood Mac's John McVie
drunk at T.G.I.F's in Woodland Hills.
He was sitting at the bar shitfaced and gross!

I went to elementary school with Christopher Knight
who played "Peter Brady" in the Brady Bunch.
He was a cute, little guy, I remember calling him "Muscles" I think
cause he paraded around one day showing off his skinny little arms!

My cousin Jennifer recentlly married an actor John Lehr.
Perhaps you've seen him as that long haired, mute brother on the sitcom "Jessie"
with Christina Applegate. John also was the emcee of that awful show where Melissa Rivers,
Tye Diggs, Rod Stewarts ex-wife, and other celebs that had to survive
living in the outback of Austrailia for 30 days or so. John was a terrific host by the way.
Anyway, when John and Jennifer got married, he had a few star friends
at the wedding, one was Eric Stolz. Handsome yes, but he never looked my way...

Jon Lovitz was standing in the parking lot of Beverly Glen shopping center
with his cell phone talking away blocking my parking space. I had to honk for him to move!

While working at Rainbow River Lodge, an isolated fishing and hunting lodge
on the Copper River near Iliamna, Alaska, we had a surprise guest and his secret service men,
ex-President and his wife Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter. I was the server for all of their meals.
Jimmy and Rosalyn were as nice as can be. When their stay was coming to an end,
Jimmy applauded me as an outstanding and friendly employee.
He and Rosalyn along with their private guests and secret service people
gave me a standing ovation! Embarrassed to ask for a picture with Jimmy,
one of the fishing guides kind of pushed me into Jimmy by
a float plane and snapped our photo. That was around 1994.
Still have the photo somewhere.

Many years ago LA weatherman Dr. George Fischbeck kissed me
on the cheek and gave me one of his buttons! Sweet man.

I go to Trader Joes on Hazeltine and Riverside regularly in Sherman Oaks.
There's a guy that works there that's a dead ringer for Horatio Sanz from Saturday Night Live!
Everytime I see him pushing carts I'm thinking, there's Horatio!

As a photojournalist, one of my first photo events was at the Long Beach Grand Prix.
I saw Paul Newman reving up his car, so being as brave as I could,
I stuck my head in the passenger window and nervously tried to focus on Mr. Newman.
His eyes were a beautiful blue. He never looked up at me. Moments later,
someone grabbed me from behind and told me to get out! I got the shot!

While bowling with my students from a special education class in Studio City,
Richard Schiff who plays "Toby" in the popular show "West Wing" was bowling
with his son right next to us. I was thinking, "What a nice thing to
be doing with your son!" He's better looking in person.

While training for the 3-day Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Malibu,
our group used to meet at a Starbucks location. There were always stars there.
One early morning Jerry Van Dyke was standing in line with his coffee
pot waiting to have it filled! That same day I saw Cindy Crawford without any makeup.
I thought, "She looks an awful lot like Cindy Crawford."
Someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, that is Cindy Crawford!
She looked great by the way even without make-up.

That same day, Linda Hamilton, from the Terminator, arrived looking stunning.
One of her lovely expensive jeweled sandles got caught on the steps.
She stopped to adjust her shoe as the crowd of sweaty
walkers commented on her good taste in shoes.

Every day I would drop a friend off to school just off Sunset Blvd.
Every day I would joke, "Look, there's O.J.!"
Never saw him until one day my friend says, "Look, there's O.J.!"
Thinking she was joking I didn't believe her,
but it was him. White Ford Bronco...

When I was just a student photojournalist, I heard the Dalai Lama
won the Nobel Peace Prize and was having a press conference in Newport Beach.
Not having the proper credentials, I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.
With my photogear and student presspass I went up to the security guard
and asked him to admit me. He wouldn't...discouraged but not giving up hope,
I walked around to the other door and asked the other security guard if I could enter.
He took pity on me being a student and let me in. There I was, sitting in a circle
with all the top photojournalists and news people. The Dalai Lama sat on a platform
just to the right of me. He was so serene. He had this amazing glow about him.
What a presence! He even told a few jokes! I got my photos.
I felt amazingly blessed after that experience!

One evening after a Thai dinner with some out of town guests in Studio City,
we walked across the street to a Baskin Robbins for icecream. While waiting in line, we saw John Goodman.
He looked very unglamourous as he ordered four icecream shakes. It was not his best look...

One event I had to cover as a photojournalist was the arrival of Spuds McKenzie
and his entourage at CSU Long Beach. Remember the famous white bull-terrier
with the big black eye! Spuds was adorable but I was later told that it wasn't the real Spuds, it was a decoy!

One morning my roommate and I were having breakfast at Jinky's in
Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd. We sat outside with her old, friendly,
black, pitbull mix dog Sugar. Magic Johnson was walking by but saw Sugar
and walked into the parking lot to avoid her. My roommate said she was friendly but
Magic smiled with that famous smile and said he was just being cautious.

Saw Vanna White one day rush into Ralph's Market in Sherman Oaks.
She was pregnant and looked awful! Not a day for turning letters...

While covering the closing of the naval yards in San Pedro, Jessie Jackson spoke.
Afterwards I shook his hand. He had the biggest, strongest handshake ever! He did not even smile!

I really liked it, I asked him if he would do some shows with REM, who backed him on the album,
he said maybe. we talked about things in Russia-he shook my hand as he was
talking about his song 'even a dog can shake hands' ...

John Entwhistle at the roxy, 1992, had a beer-

He was very nice and wore brown contact lenses in his Nixon portrayal.

Tim in Bellflower, CA had these brushes....

Back in the mid 80's I was at a stop light in Santa Monica waiting
to get on the 10 freeway to come home after work and was behind
a bright red Ferrari with an attractive blonde at the wheel.
License plate said OJ.. ... Did you guess who it was ?
Nicole Brown Simpson.. ... pre-murder media news !

Back in '88 when I was in the book store "Book Soup" on Sunset Blvd.
I was standing at the magazine rack when a couple walked through the door,
then went behind me to my left side to look at the magazines as well.
To my direct left was the gentleman and to his left was the woman he was with.
I had just noticed that on the front of Time magazine there was a picture and article about James Woods.
The young woman made this comment "0H look there's Jimmy on the cover!".
Because she called him "Jimmy" it sounded as though they knew him personally,
so I casually looked up to the guy at my left.
I made eye contact with Nicholas Cage.
As soon as he realized I recognized him they strolled out the door fairly quickly.

My mom, back in the early 50's worked at GE in Illinois when
Ronald Reagan was spoke person for GE.
He made a tour of a few of the GE plants, hers was one of them.
She has always said they woman were so excited getting to
meet a real live actor from Hollywood.
She got to shake his hand. Pre-president days.

Years later when my mom moved to CA and was an elevator operator in the
Bank of America building in beautiful down town Whittier (building still there
and before they had auto-matic elevators). In the early 60's she took
Richard Nixon up a few times to the floor that his brother
had his law office on in the building.
