INTRODUCTION
For some quasi-heroic or semi-intrinsic or mega-mysterious oddball reason,
the complete cast and crew of the beloved and special Houseplant Picture Studio website
took it upon themselves (and ourselves) to undertake a little three day mystical car journey
towards and through and sometimes on top of the majestic High Sierra mountain plains
and wonderful valleys atop the eastern early most near-corner of the California beautiful
large landscape area where the freeways meet at El Pollo Loco in Lancaster...
but El Pollo Loco was crowded inside so we used the drive-thru instead
and got our ice cream cones speedily and post-haste.
Traveled boldy and for no other reason traveled our nomadic car-carried tribe...
other than to visit some relatives and to verily eat salmon-like Japanese food (it was salmon)
near a supposedly quite expensive Von's supermarket and also listen to many people talk
about "all the good fishing" in the lakes and then we drove to the place called home
eventually after sleeping some restfully but first had to attach new license
plate to the car and unplug the computer swiftly and take out trash.
Yes, but...however our beady-eyed focus and our supreme goal was to track down and
hunt or see or preferably photograph obsessively as many old roadside motel signs
and other old broken down and run down old stuff as we could possibly
and safely photograph or see...although some of us almost fell
from the car in efforts to gather visual digital information
so things weren't entirely safe except at the
good old El Pollo Loco drive-thru.
And in order to write an introduction badly, one must
know through and through how to write one well.
At least that's what Tex at the truck-stop told us.
And thusly concludes this
introduction-uction-uction...
