Two or three winters ago, we purchased dozens and dozens of
old knitting 'pattern magazines' at a local church white elephant
sale.
They're filled with how-to knitting instructions,
patterns for garments and vivid color photos of models
wearing the finished clothes...knitted clothes.
Most of the magazines were printed between 1964 and 1967.

Initially, we planned to go through each magazine and scan
the most
visually-pleasing photos. We made it though about 5 magazines
and then
became overwhelmed by the process and abandoned the whole
project.
The knitting pattern magazines were put into storage and
have remained untouched for two or three years...until now.

A flash of inspiration hit us during an early morning jog
recently
and we've decided to revive the knitting pattern
magazine project.
We will slowly sort through the knitting pattern magazines,
scan what we consider the most interesting images and present
them to you (unretouched and in their full knit glory)
Here's the first batch of images...
