NO MORR DONUT STORR My super special secret hidden life's dream has always been to own and operate a simple donut shop. What could be better that making donuts for the teeming masses, pouring hot coffee and picking up newspapers from Formica tables and hard seats? Whenever I spot a new (to me) donut shop I usually try and figure out a reason to go inside and order something ("Uh, a large coffee and a plain muffin") which means that in my lifetime I've been inside a lot of donut shops... A lot of donut shops, except the one depicted in the following color photos. DONUT STORR once functioned as a full-on, real donut shop...unfortunately and for no particular reason I never got a chance to go inside and order something. I guess I always figured I'd order something at DONUT STORR one day but sadly that day will never come because DONUT STORR is now closed. What's left of DONUT STORR is located on Goldenwest Blvd in Westminster, CA right near Hazard Street across from the big shopping mall and near a Weinerschtitzel. Whenever I drove past DONUT STORR I always kind of wondered why it had such a strange name...I sort of guessed that Swedish people owned it or that it was a subsidiary of the popular and well-known IKEA housewares store... But honestly I think DONUT STORR was named by people who couldn't spell (although there appear to be other DONUT STORRs elsewhere in these parts) So, well...DONUT STORR is now closed and I just happened to be walking aimlessly right near it...so here are some color photos of DONUT STORR as it now stands completely closed, messy and non-functionally forlorn.
